- Engineering on the Login & Identity Platform — the auth backbone used across ThousandEyes and its Cisco integrations.
- Working on authentication flows, session management, and federated identity touchpoints in production.
Senior software engineer shipping Login & Identity platforms by day, mobile + data tools by night.
Twelve years across risk, identity, and data infra at ThousandEyes (Cisco), PayPal, Deloitte, and Infosys. I design high-throughput backend systems and ship polished consumer mobile apps on the side.
Where I've built
From enterprise Java at Infosys to real-time risk data at PayPal to identity at Cisco — a dozen years of shipping production systems.
- Revamped the Analytical Data Platform for the Risk domain, cutting analyst turnaround by 90%.
- Designed a high-throughput distributed real-time ingestion pipeline for ML risk models, ensuring data quality at scale.
- Led Smart Receipts collaboration across teams — significantly boosting rewards availability for customers.
- Hardened pipeline monitoring & alerting; reduced data-quality noise by 30%.
- Enhanced legacy events from 60 microservices on Risk Platform without compromising data quality.
- Integrated SignalFx and Splunk into the core risk platform for unified custom metrics and dashboards.
- Extended the Billing Agreement REST API with transaction indicators for better decisioning and fraud alerts.
- Mentored junior engineers and interns; multiple Bravo Awards for cross-team collaboration.
- Built a Task Management API (adapter design pattern) adopted by seven cross-functional teams.
- Designed a Spring-based batch framework that cut new-module development time by 30%.
- Shipped a Java/JS/SQL tool implementing the application's security matrix in lock-step with release timelines.
- Contributed to an Integrated Eligibility application on Spring MVC / REST.
- Earned Applause, two Spot Awards, and the Thunderbird Award.
- Shipped enterprise apps on Spring MVC / JSP / jQuery / Hibernate under Agile.
- Built a Java API to process multi-format files for reporting — cut manual work by 45%.
- Designed REST interfaces and standardized JSON schemas between two web applications.
- Earned a quarterly STAR Award.
Featured projects
Most of my side work is in the engineering-adjacent space — personal finance, system design education, and AI-native consumer apps. A mix of Flutter, Swift, Python, and Rust.
Wealth Compass
A local-first portfolio manager for iOS and Android. 20 full financial tools — holdings, FIRE planner, Monte Carlo projections, mortgage refi comparisons, Claude AI co-pilot, macro regime dashboard — all in one private app. No servers, no tracking. Multi-file CSV import auto-detects Fidelity, E*TRADE, Robinhood. Face ID lock, 12-country/currency support.
One Line Convo
A kid-friendly AI storytelling app (ages 6–15). Pick a persona (Sunny, Giggles, Spooky, Captain Epic, Weirdo, Detective), type a line, the AI writes the next — building a story together. Comic Mode transforms stories into illustrated panels (DALL-E 3 for OpenAI users, stylized procedural art for Gemini/Claude). Voice input/output, 8 visual themes, and a 3D page-flip comic reader with TTS narration.
SDTool — System Design Explorer
A native iOS app for engineers to read system design articles, follow engineering blogs (Netflix, Uber, Airbnb…), study with flash cards, and get AI-powered explanations and multi-turn chat on any article. Markdown + Mermaid rendering, Firebase auth, biometric lock.
SD Problem Generator
A Python CLI that ingests a YAML problem spec plus solution screenshots and pipes them through the Anthropic API to produce structured JSON consumed by SDTool. The authoring pipeline behind the iOS app's problem library.
